With the construction and modernization of the satellite navigation system, modernnavigation signals such as BOC, MBOC, AltBOC and TD-AltBOC have appeared.These new signals are different from the BPSK signal and have a new time-domain,correlation-domain and frequency-domain characteristics. The article studies modernnavigation signals assessment techniques with code tracking accuracy and signal qualityassessment.The content of the paper is organized as follows:In section I, The article describes the process of modernization of the majorsatellite navigation system and the existing signal system, explains the demand for codetracking accuracy and signal quality of modern navigation signal.In section II, The article introduces BOC, MBOC, and AltBOC modulationprinciples and characteristics. The article analyzes code tracking accuracy mode ofEML and EMLP, introduces the new code tracking algorithm: TM61algorithm. Finallythe article analyzes the technology of navigation signal quality assessment, includingtime-domain, frequency-domain, modulation-domain and correlation-domain Indexes.In section III, The article analyzes MBOC(6,1,1/11), BOC(14,2) and AltBOC(15,10) signals’ code tracking accuracy from receiver front-end bandwidth, correlatorspacing, coherent integration time and carrier-to-noiseimpact based on EML and EMLPalgorithm, gets code tracking accuracy characteristics and laws, gives a reasonablefront-end bandwidth and correlator spacing configuration scheme. At the same time, thisarticle analyzes TM61algorithm from code tracking accuracy, analyzes and assessesperformance of the algorithm.The study can provide an academic reference for thedesign of GNSS receiver.In section IV, The article designs modern navigation signal quality assessmentsystem based on Virtual instrument. The article describes the implementations of signalquality assessment system and design of signal quality assessment software based onMVC. The article researches time domain, frequency domain, modulation domain andcorrelation domain assessment algorithm. The article uses the closed-loop test schemeto validate the signal quality assessment system.The artical studies two key technologies of modern navigation signal assessment:code tracking accuracy assessment and signal quality assessment, which is of greatsignificance in theory and engineering.
