Big data is the next frontier for innovation, competition and productivity, and it isthe mine as well as the mining pit. Social media has the most users, and it is the nuggetscompass and the nuggets engine. The big data era will change the way we live, workand think. The social media market meets the customers’ demands, and pays attention tothe relationship with their customers. Therefore, uniting techniques for big data with thesocial media marketing will upgrade industrial structure and even prove more energy forthe development of the cyber economy.The purpose of this study is to make the social media marketing with big dadaresearch more practicable, such as analyzing the big data’s characteristics, techniquesfor big data and big data technologies, combs the social media’s features as well asdeveloping courses. Meanwhile, this thesis gives an analysis of the big data market andthe social media market from their connotation and extension. The main researchmethods of this thesis are literature study, compared research, case analysis, socialnetwork analysis and so on. Besides,“time shrinks space”, actor-network theory,innovation theory, catastrophe theory, chaos theory, and complexity theory are thetheory framework of this thesis.The ideological line of this paper includes the following aspects. The first is toresearch the social media marketing aims to reveal their value of nuggets in this era ofbig data. In the next place, studying the big data form their aspects of production,storage, application, analysis methods and technologies. From these studies, we canconclude that big data is the "microscope","correction","navigator" as well as an"engine" for the social media market, and it will lead social media market to theprecision marketing era. In addition, this thesis will give an analysis of some socialmedia big data marketing cases, so as to provide a valuable reference for followingresearch. Last but not the least, some of the findings should be emphasized such associal media marketing existing many problems, big data is both the mine and themining pit, big data using in the social media marketing is faced with opportunities andchallenges. Therefore this thesis has appointed some advises on social media big datamarketing.
