With the fast develop of bioscience and sequencing, people can analyze thepathogenesis of cancer from the gene level gradually. It has become one of the mostimportant issues to analyze and visualize gene chip data generated from genomesequencing. Cancer genome data visualization plays an important role in analyzinggenome sequence, interpreting genetic codes, studying complex diseases and so on.We analyze relative merits and visible form of several mainstream cancer genomebrowsers, and develop our own visualization system. We use B/S structure and thevisualization job is assigned to the browser side. HTML5Canvas is used to do thevisualization jobs, the server is mainly used to store our script files, to some extent weachieve load balancing.The original data includes copy number, DNA Methylation, gene expression, genemutation and so on. They are mainly from TCGA level3data pretreated by UCSCCancer Browser. For all data, we divide them into two groups according to their storageformat, and use different pre-processing method. As the segmentation methods ofdifferent samples tracks are various, for the segmentation of copy number data, we use adynamic programming method for change-point detection. We conduct visualization jobon the browser side based on pretreated data. Visual forms we use include Cytoband,heatmap, clinical features, box plot, proportions, survivorship curve and so on.We conduct different visual forms based on the grading level of chromosomeregions, achieve the function of mouse dragging to zoom and using clinical features torearrange the heatmap tracks.
