The Development Of Fasteners And Cables Assembly System Based On PRO/E

Computer Aided Design (CAD) refers to use computers to help staffs designproducts, while the current wildly used CAD software has issues that the software’sefficiency is low. In order to solve this issue, redeveloping and local customizing thesoftware based on general CAD systems has great engineering significance. Accordingto the fasteners and cables assembling needs of enterprises based on Pro/E wildfire5.0,The Pro/E redeveloping tool Pro/toolkit is selected to do the researching work ofvirtual assembly, interference verification and3D parametric modeling on the platformof visual studio2008, develop the applications such as: fasteners setting tool,fasteners group selecting tool, fasteners assembly tool, interference verificationtool,cables assembling tool.According to the users’ specific requirements of fasteners and cables assembling,we divide the fasteners and cables assembling system into different parts to design,use MFC and Pro/E menu technology to design the user’s interface of the system, usedatabase technology to manage the data of fasteners and cables system. The globaldesign process, user interface designing and data managing of the system super thecomplicated engineering example, especially the fault-tolerant design solve the Pro/Eaided application’s low stability problem.Based on the hierarchical structure of Pro/E assembly, research the Referencemark searching algorithm to improve the efficiency of Reference searching process;through the transformation of the position and posture matrix that is ProMatrix, drawup the virtual assembling scheme on the platform of Pro/E, solve the problem ofinterface calculation, develop the interference verification application; integrateBezier curve and space line to complete cable path planning; make Comparativeanalysis of different3D parametric modeling methods, test and verify theadvantages, disadvantages and the scope of application of these methods,determine the correct way to build models of fasteners and cables assemblingsystem.At last, use the theory research mentioned above, complete the fasteners andcables assembling system based on Pro/E, test and verify this system can be qualifiedto assemble fasteners and3D cables quickly, the system is a successful Pro/Eredeveloping research example.
