The Fax Software Development Of Smart Phone Based On Android Platform

With the development of technology, people have more and more strongerrequirement for information. Since recent years, because Android platform has goodopenness and convenience, so the role of Android platform in the area of smart phonebecame more and more important. Considering that Android platform has broad marketprospects and good development trend, so we decide develop our fax software based onthe Android platform.In recent decades, the fax technology has achieved rapid development and becamethe second communication means after telephone. The development trend of fax isintelligent, compact, multimedia, so I think that if fax machine is used in everyhousehold, it must bring many benefit for people. The research content of this paper isbased on the Android platform. It is a time of meaningful attempt and practice in thefield of fax machine.The innovation of this paper is that we get rid of scanning files of the fax. Ourdesign idea is that using the camera to take pictures for our fax files, and send fax filesin the forms of photos, realizing no-paper fax. It can protect environment and cost downand complexity. The main contents of this paper as follows:The function module of fax contains sender and receiver. This paper firstlydevelops the sender software. The realized contents of sender contain calling systemcamera to take pictures and select a local photo from album and processing pictures andmaking compress coding to pictures. The processing to images contains images cutting,images extraction, images graying and images binaryzation. At the end, we willmodulate the digital signal into an analog signal and send them throw the telephonenetwork.Secondly, this paper completes the development of receiver software. The receiversoftware mainly implements demodulation of analog signal into digital signal, and thendecode to the digital signal. After decoding, we will get the pixel information of binaryimages, and then we need to get binary images from the pixel information. Then weneed to interpolate to the images to the proportion of A4. At the end, the receiver cansave the images as electronic picture or print them.The main content of this paper is to add fax function for smart fixed phone. It is anew extension for the application software of smart fixed phone. After testing, thesoftware can preliminary achieve sending and receiving, and it meets the designrequirements. If give it further optimize, the software can implements the files sendingand receiving more accurate.
