The Hot Working Technology is an important embranchment of manufacturingproduction, Which has extensive application in architecture, industry, aviation, shipping,war-industry etc. Due to the non-streamlined and complexity of the production process leadto the production scheduling owns a pivotal role in the production process for optimizingproduction rhythm and reducing energy consumption. With the continuous development ofinformation technology, The intelligent scheduling methods which generated by thetraditional scheduling strategy and information technology’s combine had graduallybecoming the important measure to enhance production efficiency and reduce the cost ofproduction. At the same time, the production scheduling is also hotspot of scientific research.This article is based on the Hot Working Technology which owns complex productionprocess and is representative in the field of manufacturing. Use the Core Machine–Multibatch mode which is typically in Hot Working as the research object, combine with the HotWorking workshop production examples of Inner Mongolia North Heavy Industries Groupto research the production scheduling problems.First, the requirements analysis of Hot Working scheduling problem were given basedon the analysis of the workshop production processes and scheduling managementcharacteristics. the solving strategies were given to solve the corresponding productionscheduling problem with the method of heuristic rules etc. Secondly, the combine method ofheuristic rules and genetic algorithm were used to solve the combination stackingoptimization problem in Thermal heating process. Through the thought of relative numberand local gene cluster to make the similar genes gather effectively during the process ofcrossover and mutation process,and then improve the population quality and theperformance of genetic algorithm. Examples were given to illustrate the feasibility andvalidity of the method. Finally, based on the actual production situation of the workshop, usethe algorithm results of the study to establish a production scheduling system which main function is the furnace auto-planning schedule. The detailed design process were given in thearticle.This study can form a set of production scheduling optimization algorithm which caneffectively solve production scheduling problem of Core Machine–Multi batch mode, thealgorithm has better perforrnance, fineness and superior compared with manual schedulingand rules scheduling, and can be extended to other similar areas of production. The idea ofphase number clustering, local gene Crossover and mutation to enhance the efficiency of thealgorithm also has some academic reference value. The production scheduling system whichbuilt on the basis of the results of the research can effectively, rationally formulateproduction scheduling plan of the Hot Working workshop and provide scientific andmeticulous guidance to the production scheduling organization work. Currently, the systemhas been initially applied with good application effect.
