With the tenure of car is rising fast, the traffic jam is become a serious problem to thegovernment. The intelligent transportation system show us a method of traffic control,it will bemore cheaply and efficient.The detection system is an important part of Intelligent Transportationsystem, traffic violation has become the focus of the studies both at home and abroad. Differentfrom the traditional method, the video image processing technology can detecting traffic violationwith no damage to the roads, and it can early to install,repair and test;it also providing awell-rounded coverage area.At present,building HD monitors equipment has been a new upsurgein many city.Under the circumstances,using HD monitor equipment to detect traffic violation willreduce expenditure.So this thesis will research on detecting two kinds of illegal behavior:Exceeding speed limits and vehicle lane changing.This thesis studies the algorithms of moving object detection, classification and trajectorytracking,and propose the algorithms should contract with geometric model of the road.First,thethesis using the background difference method to detect the moving targets. According tocharacteristic of the object detection, background modeling and background update algorithm isoptimized. Then,proposed the noise removing method of binary image in post-processing.Baseon the neighborhood noise elimination method, this paper detect using connected domain and thefilling is used to extract the characteristics of the target region. Objective using vehicle and othersports (such as pedestrian, bicycle)characteristics are classified. Finally, by tracking the movingtarget feature, finished fitting vehicle trajectory, calculation of the vehicle speed and trackparameters combination of road space. As taking the criterion of complete vehicle overspeed andillegal lane change behavior.
