Along with the development of society and science, the complexities of thegeographic problems needed to be solved and integrating their respective advantagesof resources into collaborative building complex geographic system model aregrowing. The effective integration of sub models distributed to each member in theprocess of Distributed Collaborative Geographic Modeling (DCGM), is graduallybecame the focus in the study of the collaborative geographic modeling. Theagreement of the standards between geographical sub models of data interchange andinterface of model task, will reduce the complexity of the data transformation,encapsulation, interaction and communication of geographic sub models, is conduciveto the integration of models according to the interface specification constraints, so asto complete analysis, simulation and prediction of the complex problem which isdifficult to be solved dependently by single geographic model, further improve theability of integrated application of Distributed Collaborative Geographic Modeling.This paper discusses the standardization of the interface definition of thegeographic models based on data dependency between tasks, for the purpose ofguiding members to understand and complete the Distributed CollaborativeGeographic Modeling task decomposition and synthesis, developing graphical customprototype system to generated interfaces of geographic modeling task automatically,the main contents include:(1) Study the hierarchical network and dependencies of Distributed CollaborativeGeographic Modeling tasks, according to the interface architecture based onhierarchical task network, abstract interfaces for the formal geographic modeling tasks,realize the standard definition and formalization of the interfaces of geographicmodeling tasks.(2) Establish a good interactive graphical platform, set legends for distributedgeographic modeling tasks, intuitive express hierarchical task network of geographicmodels, Customize the modeling task interface could be understand by members.Study the data organization and data structure of geographic modeling task object,generated geographic modeling tasks XML documents which can easily transport andstorage, guide the members integrate Distributed Collaborative Geographic Modelingtasks together.(3) Select Xinanjiang model as an example to verify its interface automatic generation process of the geographic modeling task decomposed. Analysis thestructure and the calculation process of three water source of Xinanjiang model,determine the feasible task decomposition scheme of Xinanjiang model, and thehierarchical task network of Xinanjiang model and the dependencies of tasks based onPetri net are presented. Through the formal description of Xinanjiang model taskobject in the graphical modeling platform, the task interface can be automaticallygenerated and stored.
