As an advanced technology at present, Virtual Reality technology mainly provides a real-time3D virtual space to reflect the real environment and the virtual object interaction for users by creating a simulation environment. At present, this technology has been widely used in many fields such as military, medical, construction, education, manufacturing and so on, but the application research in the field of mining is relatively late.In view of the complexity and unpredictability of coal mine work environment and in order to solve the high cost and unguaranteed experiment site of "three-machine" linkage process in the traditional method, a new virtual reality system of the "three-machine" linkage process was established based on the virtual reality technology.Taking a specific working face as an example and with the analysis of the working process of the Shearer, Hydraulic support and Scraper conveyor respectively, the logic relationship and linkage parameters of the "three-machine" linkage process could be identified. After the analysis of the structure characteristics of the Shearer, Hydraulic support and Scraper conveyor, the three-dimensional model of the Shearer, Hydraulic support and Scraper conveyor could be established based on the virtual reality technology. And on the basis of the analysis of "three-machine" linkage process, the overall scheme of fully mechanized "three-machine" virtual reality system was put forward and the virtual reality human-computer interaction interface of fully mechanized "three-machine" was designed based on the graphics interface development tool Qt. With the compilation of quadratic program of the open source graphics rendering engine OGRE and user interface library Qt, the virtual reality system of the fully mechanized "three-machine" was built and the load of the model was realized based on the Microsoft Visual Studio2010.With the control of programs, the dynamic analog simulation of the Shearer, Hydraulic support and Scraper conveyor of fully mechanized working process could be achieved, and the function of the "three-machine" linkage, the "with machine" or "not with machine" and the roaming of the virtual reality system could be verified. It is of great significance for the visual real-time monitoring of the production situation of fully mechanized working face and realizing the fully mechanized working face production safety.
