Mobile communication technology makes the communication between peoplemore convenient, it also enriches people’s entertainment life. The business types ofmobile communication have now become more abundant, thus making communicationsystems face more problems, one of which is how to allocate all kinds of resourcesefficiently in communication system. This thesis takes this problem as the object ofstudy. This paper mainly introduces several aspects: resource status of resourceallocation algorithm, the mobile channel propagation characteristics. MIMO andOFDM principle, the physical layer and cross layer resource allocation algorithms etc..In addition, this paper is improved two algorithms: the first one is improved in theresources allocation algorithms of the physical layer; the second one is improved in theresources allocation algorithms of cross layer. The proposed algorithm in the physical layer is minimizing transmit powersystem. The algorithm is based on guaranteeing the user fairness, transmit powerminimization of sub-carrier and bit allocation for system based on. The idea is to firstdistribution according to user channel gain from worst to best order sub-carrier, andthen compare their power to find sub-carrier eventually for users, finally uses thegreedy water injection sub-carrier allocation. The simulation results show that thealgorithm reduces the transmission power of the system, thereby improving systemperformance. The improved algorithm of resource allocation in cross layer is to maximize thethroughput of the system and delay minimization. The idea is to quality of service(QoS) and the relationship between the service cost, the physical layer(PHY) channelinformation, media access control layer (MAC) of finite length user buffer queueinformation, as well as the quality of services to the application layer service and userproportional rate requirement, in the heart of the user resource allocation andscheduling to achieve the exchange of information between different layers of thesystem, and the realization of the system throughput maximization and reduces thetime delay of the system.
