The Research Of Library Web Site Evaluation Based On The Soft Set Theory

With the development of information technology, networking and digitized libraryhas been further advanced. Compared with the traditional library service mode, modernlibrary service mode can provide users with more efficient and high-quality informationservice, with which the library web site has played a cruicial role. The library web sitehas become a foreign exchange window. It also reflects the service ability and servicecharacteristics of the library. A reasonable evaluation to the library web site can notonly facilitates the use of the users, but also conductive to the improvement anddevelopment of the library web site itself. The evaluation of the library web site is basedon the construction status of the web site to formulate the evaluation criteria scientificand standardized. Hereby established the indicator system as the basis for evaluation.This can be a comprehensive way to collect all relevant information of the library website. And then compared with the library web site targets to make a scientific andobjective value evaluation. Through the evaluation of the library web site, we candetermine the current status of the library web site and the basic situation of the librarynetwork services. This can be very important to the construction of the library web site.Scientific, objective and fair assessment of the library web site can not only help withthe construction of the library web site, but also realize the reform and development ofthe library itself. It can also help the library to demonstrate its value and establish agood social image. Therefore, a reasonable evaluation method becomes significant.However, the evaluation of the library web site appeared later than the abroad. To sumup the main evaluation methods are multi-criteria evaluation, multi-sided evaluation andfunctional-characteristics evaluation. These evaluations have some deficiencies, themain reason is that there are subjectivity in the establishment of evaluation indicatorsystem and method.Based on the summary of the domestic and foreign literature about the evaluationof the library web site, this paper proposed an evaluation method of the library web sitebased on the bijective soft set theory. When dealing with the uncertain problems, it canovercome the irrational parametric defects of the traditional mathematical methods.Such as probability theory, fuzzy set theory, interval mathematical theory, rough theory,etc.. Soft set theory is a very flexible way to describe the objects. Bijective soft set is aspecial soft set, there is no intersection for the set-value of each parameters (non-ambiguity set-value). The intersection of the parameters set-value covers the entiredomain (integral description). This paper considered the types of the factors whichimpact the result of the library web site evaluation as the parameters of the bijective softset. And established a decision-making system of the library web site based on thebijective soft set. Then by studying the relationship between the parameters to find outwhat are the key factors affecting the evaluation results of the library web site. Themain contents and results of this paper are as follows.Firstly, on the basis of the relevant literature, this paper summarized the purpose,significance and research status of the library web site evaluation. Secondly, this paperhas made a literature review on the library web site evaluation of domestic and abroadin recent years. It summarized several commonly used evaluation methods of libraryweb site, and described their characteristics and deficiency, and then introduced theconcept of soft set. Thirdly, this paper generalized the indicators of library web siteevaluation on the literature basis of library web site’s indicator system. And based onthis to establish a set of evaluation indicator system. Fourthly, this paper introduced thesoft set theory, bijective soft set theory and its decision system, the definition ofdependence and importance, it also introduced a reducing method based on the systemimportance. Lastly, this paper converted the indicators of the library web site evaluationto the parameters of bijective soft set decision system. By using the fuzzy clusteringmethod, the original information table of5library web site data has been transformedto the bijective soft set decision system. This is the process of establishing the libraryweb site evaluation information table based on the decision system of the bijective softset. And through their parameters reduction, we can find out the most importantevaluation indicator to influence the results of the library web site evaluation. So thispaper proposed a new evaluation method of library web site and it enriched the researchsystem of the library web site evaluation.
