21st Century is the age of information. As lead of fighting against crime andsafeguarding social stability, the accessing speed, mastery, availability and sensitiveresponsiveness and accuracy of information has been a key factor to evaluate theoverall quality of public security system. With the rapid development of science andmaturity of computer network technology, the OFFICE-ATOMATION(OA) has beenhighly popularized among the government departments. Under such situation, the skilland application of OA has chance to be developed to the higher levels.This thesis discourses to research and develop the OA with public securitydepartments characteristics according to observation of OA’s development status andfuture trends and a large number of analysis and discussion. Combining with theactual situation of the department, it firstly introduce the main developing skills of thesystem, including the B/S(Browser/Server) framework structure, SQL Server database.And ADO.NET skill and briefly describe the uniform modeling language of UML,which provides solid theoretical foundation for the system design. Secondly,according to the feasibility and overall function requirement, it detailed analysis thedesign objectives, design ideas, development principles and development environment.Finally, it detailed introduces the functions and their design process and elaborate theissue of access security.This OA system’s functions are capable to satisfy the daily office work ofpublicsecurity system on the basis of actual demand and significantly enhanced theirefficiency. Whilst there are still some defects of design which need revision andimprovement during the actual operating process.
