Video information is heavy and abundant in content,video processing chip developsrapidly.Along with the development of the need of social life,the requirements of videoprocessor performance is becoming higher.The selection of Video processor chip decides tothe performance of our products. The suitable selection can meet video’s real-timeexpansibility and practical.So it’s very important to use a proper image processor.The DSPis digital signal processor for high speed effective treatment.This article chooses the DM642chip as the core of the processing chip, which can process the video data effective. What ismore it completed the video monitoring system. This article designed a muti-path videomonitoring system.The multi-channel image acquisition system can ensure the real-time imageacquisition, acquisition quality and stability, which can also complete the function ofnetwork transmission to transfer the processed image data to PC. According to the functions ofthe system design, this article mainly completed the following work:1. Summarized the three phase of the development of video monitoring, and describethe video processor in brief.2. Summarized and understands the internal structure of TMS320DM642, chipresources and the performance of the index. Based on this video monitoring function, itbuilt the structures involved modules.3. It designed a real-time operating for each module and test experiment of the program.The TI company provides RF-5software frame,network development set (NDK) and theembedded operating system (DSP/BIOS).With the help of TI,it completed the software ofthis system design.4. On the basis of image processing, it completed video data real-timecompression.Through the HTTP network protocol it completed the embedded networkvideo transmission system based on B/S.
