The Extract And Render Of PDF On Android Platform

This paper research the structure of the PDF file format and reference some open sourceprojects to implement the extraction, parsing and rendering of PDF files on the Androidplatform. This paper made the adjustment and optimization on data structures, algorithms andbusiness logic for the Android platform because the performance limitations of mobiledevices. Found that PDF file can be supported very well on the Android platform by themobile device which is weak at performance.With the Mobile Internet Era, the importance of PDF file in the mobile office isbecoming increasingly apparent. But the small screen and weak performance of mobiledevices are limited the importance of the PDF on mobile devices. In this paper, a way toextract, parse and render PDF files in Android operating system has been proposed.In the extraction and parsing stage, this paper focuses on the structure of the PDF fileformat, discusses the commonly used encryption and decryption algorithm; and someoptimization algorithms, data structures and business logic on performance, to adapt to themobile device performance deficiencies.In the rendering stage, this paper discuss and choose some better API of Android systemto render PDF file for more accurate rendering, reflects the device-independent andplatform-independent features.
