Inductance sensor that used for fine iron powder has many advantages,whose most important component is coil.The structrue parameters will have influence on the distribution of magnetic lines and the performance of the sensor.The key of the sensor is determining the structure parameters.Finite Element Method(FEM)combined with the orthogonal experiments to optimize the structure parameters, The research work conducted is outlined as following:According to the principle of Biot-Savart,obtained the formula of permeability and the coil inductance,the permeability can shows the grade of the fine iron powder,so we can determine the grade according to the coil inductance. Based on the theories of electromagnetic and the FEM,simplified appropriately physical modle ,selected the element type,set the meshing parameters,applied the boundary conditions,then solved.Showed the influence on the different structure parameter by the distribution of magnetic lines.Different iron fine powder cause different coil inductance because of different permeability.Therefore,change only one structure parameter each time, permeability of fine iron powder is independent variable and the inductance of the coil is dependent variable,obtained their variation curve,then conbined with the distribution of magnetic lines to study the effect of structure parameters on the performance of inductance sensor, put forward schemes to optimize structure.According to the regularity obtained by FEM,designed othogonal experiments to demonstrate its correction,selected optimal parameter combination and obtained the significance of every factor by regression analysis and significance analysis on the experiments results,provided a reference for determining the coil parameters of inductance sensor.
