The characteristics of the course of basic education is the basic, and the general character of each subject is to make the students learn basic intelligence, basic moral values, basic physical ability and civic education. The reform of basic education curriculum aims at promoting quality education. Geography curriculum reform also reflects the concept of quality education, such as the cultivation of the necessary geographical knowledge, to strengthen the practice of geography, curriculum requirements are well reflected in the "form of information literacy, respect for student experience" and so on.Geography in the basic education stage is a necessary basic discipline, the existence of the geography course is the result of the reconstruction of curriculum structure. At the same time, the high school geography can be improved from the course content, the teaching form, the curriculum adaptation and so on. Such as in the curriculum standards emphasize "autonomy, cooperation, and explore" concept, in the reform of course content, the use of a variety of types of cases, typical case and an increase in the number of cases and so on. The purpose is to change the student’s original blunt way of learning and thinking. Enable students to actively participate in,take the initiative to explore, learn to analyze and deal with problems and cooperation.Case teaching method is a very active teaching method advocated by the new curriculum reform, but it also has some disadvantages. Therefore, when studying the theory and practice of case teaching method, this paper will choose the case teaching according to the actual situation of geography teaching. To realize the value of case teaching. And by broadening the research channels of case teaching to achieve teaching goals, and promote the comprehensive development of students.Paper the theory of multiple intelligences, construction of the idea of Marxist philosophy, and using the methods of literature research, questionnaire survey and teaching record to analyze the case teaching, let case teaching method and the high school geography discipline can effectively link, and use it in geography teaching, the purpose of which is to contribute to the curriculum reform of geography.This article includes six chapters:The first chapter: first of all, introduces the background of the topic, and describes the significance of this paper. It mainly explains the present situation and achievements of the research on geography case teaching in China and abroad. In addition, it also illustrates the main content and technical route of the research.The second chapter focuses on the analysis of the theoretical basis of the high school geography case teaching. The research content of this chapter includes two aspects: on the one hand, it is related to the concept of classification; on the other hand,it is the basis of the educational theory of case teaching.Chapter three: in order to understand the case teaching in high school geography teaching in the implementation of, the through investigation and analysis to study,including the high school students understanding of the case teaching, high school students in case study survey, the high school student expectations of case teaching and evaluation of three aspects. The results of the survey mainly provide reference for thedesign and practice of the case teaching.The fourth chapter: on the application of the case teaching method in high school geography. Content including the design principles, sources and ways of case teaching;combing the case of geography teaching materials, and classification, according to the above concept design case teaching, and the implementation of case teaching in high school classroom.The fifth chapter: summary and Prospect of the results of practice and research.
