The education workers should think about the problem that how to make the senior school students be happy in senior school’s Chinese curriculum. A lot of texts can be gave happiness education to students in reading teaching. Now researches about happiness education in the area of education, philosophy, and psychology are abundant than those in specific senior school’s Chinese curriculum. Therefore, the paper takes examples by the ways of these researches, through analyzing documents and cases and so on, to dig the practical value of happiness education in reading teaching, and to cultivate senior school’s students to be happy people in essence.For those understandings of “happiness”, there have been there mistakes----equating the happiness with joy, with happy life, and with a state of mind instead of unfortunate situation.Paper points out that happiness is a positive psychological experience, which comes from some desires, and be a positive psychological feelings after the corresponding behavior. As for the purpose of the senior school’s Chinese happiness education refers to let students experience the happiness of reading teaching. This means that reading teaching needs to make students have normal cognition and feelings of the world( including nature and human society) and of themselves, which give them optimistic personality and aesthetic feelings that be able to control the state of life such as loneliness and sorrow. It has the characteristics of the following three aspects: the teacher need to pay attention to link of knowledge and pleasure in terms of passing happiness; attach great importance of loving life,good behavior and hard working in shaping happiness-ideas; as well as help students cherish and love life in cultivating the ability to happiness.Paper discusses the necessity of happiness education in senior school’s Chinese reading teaching. It is beneficial to improve high school’s students to set up the normal cognition and feelings of happiness, to shape the correct happiness-ideas and to cultivate the ability to happiness.As to its feasibility, the time’s atmosphere paying attention to personal happiness have provided a good social opportunity for happiness education; the curriculum reform of the Chinese have provided appropriate education environment in senior schools, also the level of students’ physical and mental development have provided the physiological basis.Paper also discusses the strategies of happiness education in reading teaching. First, this paper puts forward that founding the students’ interests and equaling dialogue between teachers and students can promote the students’ feelings of happiness; Second, it puts forward that with the correct understandings about the relationship between intelligence, desire and effort on the basis of loving and life, reading teaching can pass positive happiness-ideas; Also, it puts forwardthat with the perspectives of discovering beauty and the optimistic, reading teaching can attitude to cultivate the ability of feeling happiness. And paper cultivates the students’ ability of pursuing and creating the happiness in reading teaching by interpreting texts of the Man in a Shell and the old Men and the Sea. Finally, it shows the special reading teaching----the spirits of ancient poets’ happiness of pursuing disentangling to discuss the happiness-ideas of the ancient poetry.
