Chinese is the most important communication tool in daily life. In order to learn it well, reading is indispensable. Many teachers have been aware of the need for reading and advocated that middle school students should put more emphasis on reading classics. However, due to the current examination system, the section of classics reading is not well developed. In this thesis, the author does her utmost to find some practical methods to improve the effectiveness of the teaching regarding Classics Guide!.In this thesis, the author discusses the effective teaching methods regarding Classics Guide! which is one of the sections of Chinese learning at high school by using research methods such as literature study, interview and questionnaire. The Introduction consists of the following parts: the research method, the definitions of the related concepts, the research significance, literature review and research methods. The first chapter is about the analysis on the teaching theory to teach Classics Guide! effectively and the standards to measure whether the teaching is effective. The second chapter is about the case studies of teaching Classics Guide!. In this chapter, the author points out which method is inffective and which is effective during the teaching process. In the third chapter, the author puts forward effective teaching strategies concering Classics Guide! after specificly analyzing the teaching, the school and the eveluation.
