Study On The Supply Path Of The Urban Community Home Care Resources From The Perspective Of Social Work

The aging population brings a series of challenges to China. Even though China lack resources for the aging people, this situation created multiple demands to support these people.The traditional family-based supporting mode has been out of date in the modern society, and the institution-based supporting mode can hardly meet the huge demands of the aging people. In this situation, community-family based supporting mode can be a rational choice. One of the most important factors to support the community-family based supporting mode is the provision of resources for the aging, so multiple resources can be a better choice in this mode.I take “L” community as our example, and analyze the current situation and characteristics of this community. Based on the demands of the old people, I discuss the following questions: first,what problems are the community-family based supporting mode confronted with; second, the necessity and feasibility for the social work to join in the community-family based supporting mode; third, based on multiple resources and the participation of social work, how to construct a valid system for the community-family based supporting mode. I find that in order to construct the community-family based supporting mode, it needs a system to guarantee the multiple resources and the participation of different kinds of people; and in the construction, we need social workers to join in.
