The college teacher professional title classification evaluation is the deepening and development of the university personnel system reform in the new era. The fundamental purpose of professional titles classification evaluation is to follow the concept of people-oriented and promoting teachers’ self-development, through the scientific title evaluation principles,methods and indicators, implementing classification evaluation mode,effectively using the guiding role and management functions of professional title evaluation, to achieve the optimal allocation of human resources in colleges and universities, to ensure the realization of the Colleges’ organization goals, and to promote the independent development of university teachers at the same time.Over the years, the university teachers’ title evaluation of the academia studies are mostly macro and theoretical explores, the existing research is concentrated in the subordinate key universities, while the local university as a case study is lacking, and the empirical research ofuniversity teachers’ classification evaluation from the perspectives of the Modern University’s basic functions and promoting teacher’s classification development are rarely reported.In this paper, from the perspective of self-development exploring the titles classification evaluation of university teachers, through the foreign experience reference of university teachers classification evaluation and the analysis of domestic current college teacher’s title system, based on the incentive theory and the theory of autonomous development, the evaluation system to promote the teachers’ independent development and classification development was initially built. And taking a local university(hereinafter referred to as A university) as an empirical study case, through the system text’s evolution analysis and data clustering analysis, and supplemented by questionnaires, putting forward countermeasures and suggestions on the constantly improvement and perfection of local college teachers’ Professional title classification evaluation. In order to provide reference for other local university teachers’ professional title classification evaluation,and to make up for the lack of local universities’ empirical research in the colleges and universities teachers’ professional title classification evaluation of our country.This thesis is divided into seven chapters: The first chapter, The problems this thesis was going to study were put forward, the research background, purpose and significance were mainly elaborated, the researchcontent, methods and technical routes were cleared, and the innovation points and deficiencies were described. The second chapter, The basic concept and theoretical basis. The related concepts of university teachers’ professional title evaluation were parsed, taking the self-development theory and incentive theory as foundation, providing theoretical support for the following empirical research. The third chapter, The experience of the college and university teachers’ professional title classification evaluation in United States, Britain and Japan were referred. The fourth chapter, The domestic title evaluation system. was objectively analyzed. The fifth chapter, Based on self-development, the principle, institutional framework and positioning of professional titles classification evaluation were proposed, and the colleges and universities teacher professional titles classification evaluation model was constructed. The sixth chapter, The empirical research of A university’s professional title classification evaluation was made, including the reform sample analysis, running data and questionnaire study of professional title classification evaluation in A university. The seventh chapter is the main conclusions of this study were summarized, and some recommendations for improvement were put forward.
