Modern reading has been the main content of Chinese education, and an important part of Chinese examinations. With the new High school Chinese curriculum to promote, public put forward higher requirements of proposition of Chinese examination. Exploring the characteristics of high school Chinese modern reading, studying scientific and effective proposition of high school Chinese modern reading, will be urgent problems to be solved for reading evaluation of high school. Modern reading test as one of the main content of high school Chinese examinations, Its research can not only promote the reform of high school Chinese reading proposition, but also help promote effective reading teaching and the development of the new curriculum, and promote the development of the theory of reading evaluation.In the paper, according to educational measurement theory, putting reading ability and text selection as a starting point, expanding multi-year analysis of college entrance Chinese examination and graduation Chinese exam and high school Chinese General Test over the years, and tring from the perspective of experimental research, exploring the new developmental directions in high school modern reading proposition. Specific contents are as follows :Chapter 1 is about asking a question, carding of the related material, and explaining the meaning and value of research.Chapter 2 aims from the perspective of reading ability and text selection, contacting with examination syllabus and exam description and syllabus, facing up to the problems of college entrance Chinese examination and graduation Chinese exam and high school Chinese general test.Chapter 3 mainly introduces and analyzes reading frame of PISA and PIRLS and NAEP, and put them as a reference, constructing an experimental reading frame of high school modern reading proposition. Basing on the perspective of reading psychology, is to verify the rationality of experimental frame. For the purposes of scientific experiments, the chapter specifically designs reading sample questions and an questionnaire in the experimental frame, in order to obtain valid data in the survey experiment.Chapter 4 mainly is to choose experiment object and time and place, using reading sample questions and questionnaire to expand the experimental investigation. Then from different points, using scientific methods to analyze and count experimental data, summarizing the effect of the implementation, in depth to analyze the experimental results of modern reading proposition. Chapter 5 mainly put forward suggestions and countermeasures of high school modern reading proposition in speculative manner, hoping these can help development of our modern reading proposition. In addition, making summary defects and shortcomings of the paper, prospecting the future research directions.
