At the same time, the slogan “the education saves China†calls out all over the Chinese continent. With the development of "New Deal" in late Qing dynasty, a large number of people with deep insight begin to found schools in succession, introducing the new foreign advanced education conceptions, the old textbooks which are used in the past of primary and middle schools already cannot adapt to the social changes of the new situation, in this case, the commercial press temporizes and compiles the Textbook of Republic, New Mandarin. The new Textbook of Republic, New Mandarin is compiled for the purpose of "to develop the personality of the republic nation". The coverage of the new Textbook of Republic is very broad. As the most representative textbook for teaching at that time, it created alegend of publishing edition in the history of one hundred years.
