Describe the connection of regional spatial structure and geography and development is the most commonly used method is:maps and charts. How to get effective geography in geographical image information and the correct interpretation, is an important path of effective teaching. With the advancement of new geography curriculum reform and the popularization of quality education, to improve students’ graphs reading ability,analysis ability, and combined with the actual geographical image ability become more important, But because the student read the figure, the analysis diagram and the drawing ability is poorer, therefore, students do not know how to do about the image problem and analysis, a revulsion of psychology.According to the present situation, this study puts forward geographical image information strategy and the cultivation of reading ability.In the reading of vast amount of literature on the basis of this study, combined with the questionnaire, understand the current high school students reading geographical image information ability analysis of the status quo and existing problems, and interpretation of high school students to acquire and geographical image information ability cultivationstrategy for research.The first part is introduction, introduces the research background, purpose, significance, research ideas and research status at home and abroad.The second part is the definition of related concepts and theoretical basis, this study on the education psychology theory and the concept of new geography curriculum as the theoretical basis.The third part is about the geographical image of the type and function has carried on the investigation and analysis, Put the image in geography textbooks for high schools are divided into the map, map, contour map, statistical charts, landscape maps, remote sensing image, geographic comic seven classes,And expounds the function of the different types of geographic image as well as the importance in the college entrance examination.The fourth part is the main factors influencing high school geographical image interpretation ability(teacher and student’s own factors) as well as the existing problems.Fifth part for problems arising from the analysis of the situation to improve students’ reading geography image ability put forward the corresponding strategy.The sixth is divided into the conclusion of this study, and the deficiency existing in this research are put forward.
