| Due to many factors such as natural environment, economic structure, the development of education is backward and lack of education resources in poor western areas in China. Rural primary school teachers resource in western poverty-stricken areas is shortage, the implementation of the "work plan" for the region’s rural primary school added a lot of teacher resources. At the beginning of teaching in primary school, teachers as well as other new teachers, occupational adaptation is the primary problem in the western poverty-stricken areas. But due to the special material and cultural environment, the teacher’s vocational adjustment in elementary school in western poverty-stricken areas is more difficult.This study on the basis of combing the domestic and foreign relevant research, supported by relevant theories.Making the questionnaire survey between primary school teachers in nearly three years in HY area in Yunnan province and extracted some teachers from the object in the questionnaire to make in-depth interviews. Focus on teachers’ professional environment, professional ability, professional interpersonal, professional psychological adapt to the present situation in western poverty-stricken areas elementary school and the cause of the plight that primary school teachers facing.Through the survey found that in the western poverty-stricken areas primary school, teachers in the process of vocational adjustment facing the following dilemma: can’t adapt to life in the rural environment; lack of education theory knowledge and teaching skills; Professional interpersonal passive; Professional psychological maladjustment. The reason that elementary school teachers facing in adapting to the professional plight has the following several aspects: rural bad material culture environment; Elementary school teachers lack of self-quality; The teachers’ pre-service education in College lacks pertinence; Recruitment system is imperfect, the administrative department for education training work does not reach the designated position; School lack of attention to professional to adapt for primary school teachers; Lack of actively support from the social public opinion environment.This study from the following aspects to promote elementary school teachers’ career path in the western poverty-stricken areas : optimization working environment of primary school teachers; Pre-service teacher education in the colleges and universities should enhance the pertinence of teacher education; Education administrative department of the recruitment system, should attach great importance to the job after training; School ought to focus on vocational adjustment of primary school teachers; In primary schools, should try their best to create actively support from the social public opinion environment for teachers. |
