Research On The Problem And Counter-measures Of Cultivating The University Students’ Civic Awareness In The Practice Of The Rule Of Law

To advance the rule of law comprehensively, and strengthen the construction of rule of law in our country, on the one hand, it needs to strengthen the construction of the superstructure from top to bottom on the national level, on the other hand, it needs to promote the development of the modern rule of law from bottom to top on the social level. This bottom-up driven requires good civic awareness as the basis. As a high-quality group, university students are the power to promote social development,and the level of their civic awareness is related to the process of the construction of the modern rule of law in our country. Therefore, under the background of comprehensively promoting the rule of law, it is so significant in researching on the problem and counter-measures of cultivating the University Students’ civic awareness.Firstly, this paper adopted the literature research method to comb the past related academic achievements, then made a survey on university students by the electronic questionnaire, and summed up the problem of cultivating the university students’ civic awareness at the present stage, completely analyzed the causes of these problems, and put forward the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions. This full text is divided into four parts.The first part mainly expounds the relationship between the rule of law and the civic awareness, including: the rule of law and its implication; the related concept of civic awareness; the relationship between the rule of law and the civic awareness; the inner process of cultivating the university students’ civic awareness, discussing several psychological components of civic awareness and the formation process of civic awareness of university Students.The second part has a detailed analysis of cultivating the university students’ civic awareness in the practice of the rule of law, sums up the main contents of the cultivation of the university students’ civic consciousness in our country at the present stage, and discusses the main problems, including: the current cultivation of the university students’ civic consciousness in our country is ineffective, university students lack of the basic knowledge of civic consciousness, and the related practice is insufficient; the cultivation of civic consciousness system is not perfect, the discipline construction ofcivic consciousness is slow, cultivation mode insufficient, and the related evaluation system is not perfect.The third part completely analyzes the causes of these problems, including four factors: restriction of traditional cultural and thought, the influence of social environment factors, universities’ neglect in teaching and institutional guarantee, and university students’ ignorance of the cultivation of civic consciousness.The fourth part discusses the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions based on the main problems and influencing factors, including: we should improve the system of civil education in universities with the rule of law education as the core,change the teaching concept, construct the content system, rich the practical form, and improve the evaluation system. we should dialectical treat the traditional culture and thought, establish the socialist core values; our nation should cultivate good democratic political environment, market economy environment and cultural environment in the rule of law; university students should attach importance to the study of civic consciousness and its related courses; our country can adopt foreign experience and methods.
