Information technology is now approaching to schools at an unprecedented pace.It plays an important role in improving students’ learning efficiency and enhancing the efficiency of classroom instruction. The core of school education is classroom.The application of IWB has been the first choice for classroom informazation. It is easy to learn and use and brings about brand new choice in teaching ways and methods. IWB fully makes use of the characteristics of information education and on the basis of combining the modern teaching and traditional teaching; the utilization of IWB in teaching truly brings informatization into ordinary classrooms and daily teaching, and is regarded as the new driving force of the innovation of the classroom teaching mode.With the in-depth research on teaching based on IWB, the problem of deeper integration between IWB and classroom teaching of specific subjects has drawn more and more concern. Focused on how to utilize IWB to optimize senior English classroom teaching, regarding the three aspects of instructional design, teaching implementation, reflection and evaluation, some problems and the relevant optimization strategies have been put forward. At the same time, a study was conducted then by applying a slightly modified version of Students’ Attitude questionnaire to do research on the effect of classroom teaching with IWB.Descriptive analysis in SPSS 16.0 for Windows was performed to analyze the data.Some case studies were also performed.The result of the study indicates that the effect of the utilization of IWB in senior English teaching from the three aspects of instructional design, implementation and reflection and evaluation is evident and has got the teachers’ and students’ approval.Such findings may have positive influence on further study on the integration of IWB and senior English classroom teaching and provide reference resources for researchers of this field and teachers who are teaching in senior high schools.
