At present, quality education is a great reform of education in our country, of which moral education is the most important one. Intellectual moral education has its profound theoretical origin, it is produced in the technological development of the industrial society to adapt to the needs of the development of the times, even in our country it also meets the social needs of the specific historical stage. However, with the further development of the era, our country gradually gets into the social transition period after the reform and opening up, socialist market economy has continued to develop, improve, and earth shaking changes have taken place in the social aspects. Intellectual moral education becomes more and more difficult to meet the needs of social development, it is also more difficult for this kind of moral education to fit the needs of the implementation of quality education. Therefore, the intellectual moral education should maximize the effectiveness of its related aspects of the necessary changes, so as to achieve the transcendence of the defects, improve the effectiveness of moral education, promote the overall development of the individual and play a positive role in promoting social development.This paper consists of two parts which are introduction, and the body. The introduction mainly introduces selected topic background and research significance, research status at home and abroad, the research methods and the way of thinking of this paper, etc.The body consists of three parts:The first part elaborates the rise and characteristics of intellectual moral education. This part firstly introduces the generation of intellectual moral education course and its performance in the rise of our country, on this basis, this paper discusses the meaning and characteristics of intellectual and moral education. The knowledge moral education and the thought moral education are two manifestations of the intellectual moral education. The intellectual moral education has the basic characteristics of ideal, scientific and specialized. At the end of this part, the rationality of intellectual moral education is analyzed.The second part demonstrates the misunderstanding of intellectual moral education combining with the characteristics of our era system, which including abandoning the social history and relativity of moral education, breaking away from the complete structure and the truth of moral education, ignoring the students’subjectivity, overall development and the importance of life to moral education as well as the unity of knowing and doing.In the third part, it puts forward the concrete strategy of the intellectual moral education out of misunderstanding. Specifically include:Adhering to the "student oriented" purpose to achieve the unity of cognition, emotion, will, behavior in the aspect of moral education concept. Insisting on the unity of individual adaptability and social adaptability, and paying attention to promoting the all-round development of students in the section of the goal of moral education. Grasping the theme of the times, combining with the times and basing on real life referring to the content of moral education. In the way of moral education, paying attention to practice and making full use of the digital media and the Internet are requested. On the evaluation of moral education, adhering to the evaluation of the diversity of the subject, the integrity of the content of the evaluation, the diversity of the methods and the criteria of "two unified" of the evaluation is needed.
