The 21st Century is an Era of Knowledge and Economy and the competition among countries around the world lies in the comprehensive national power based on economy, science and technology. Since Human beings play a decisive role in productivity, the competition of comprehensive national power depends on the competition of talents. Education, as the most important way for a country to cultivate talents in various fields, has gained more and more attention and has been attached more importance.The development of a country relies on the development of the education determining the future of the country and the nation. Besides, the quality of the teachers directly influence the development of the education. Young teachers are the core strength of the sustainable development of senior high schools, so their development is directly related to the development of the teaching staff, to the teaching quality of senior high schools and even to the development of senior high school students.In recent years, with the expansion of high school students enrollment and the increase of classes in schools, the structure of the teaching staff has changed a lot. In the senior high schools, the young teachers take a larger and larger proportion. They are energetic,smart, and with higher educational qualifications. However, a part of them cannot well adapt themselves to the requirements of their jobs, faced with a series of difficulties. The development of the society and the reform of education make so high expectations and demands on the young teachers that it is urgent to cultivate the young teachers in senior high schools. How should the young teachers seize opportunities to improve themselves? How should schools cultivate them? And What should the society do to provide better conditions to promote the development of the young teachers?This essay, based on the current situation of the development of young teachers in our school, analyzes the factors affecting the development of the young teachers by combing the domestic and foreign research status and puts forward some suggestions related to the promotion of the development of young teachers.The essay consists of four parts. Part one is the Introduction, which illustrates the research purposes, research significance, research status,and research methods. Part two analyzes the main problems existing in the development of young teachers in the school by way of questionnaires. The problems mainly lie in the low sense of professional identity, lack of active improvement, great pressure from teaching, less attention paid by schools in the cultivation of young teachers, and so on. Part three is the analysis of the reasons for the problems, including lack of inner driving force, cultural conflicts in the development process, the gaps among social environments, pressure from the examination-oriented education, and narrow development space. Part four is about the specific and practical countermeasures from the aspects of individuals, schools and educational administrative departments to the problems.
