Mathematics Experiment With Geometer’s Sketchpad For Mathematics Teaching Of Senior Three Art’s Students

The Geometer’s Sketchpad, with its dynamic, accuracy, objectivity and accessibility, is a good IT helper for mathematics experiment in the mathematics teaching of Senior Three art’s students. This paper explores the teaching strategies with Geometer’s Sketchpad and their effectiveness in mathematics experiments.With two classes of Senior Three art’s students from a non-demonstrative senior high school as the subject, theoretically analyzing the data from experimental research and lesson study, this paper comes as follows:First of all, summary the characteristics of Geometer’s Sketchpad, the basic features of mathematics teaching for art’s students of Senior Three and the fundamental role of Geometer’s Sketchpad in mathematics teaching. Put forward mathematics experiment with Geometer’s Sketchpad as teaching strategies in Senior Three:the strategies of Mathematics concept teaching, the strategy of mathematical propositions teaching and the strategies of mathematical teaching.Secondly, analyze teaching practice, with investigation and lesson study as supplements and discuss the effectiveness of the proposed strategies on improving students’ scores as well as interest in mathematics learning.Studies have shown that Geometer’s Sketchpad applied to mathematics experiment for art’s students of Senior Three, can(1)significantly improve the students’ mathematics scores, either talented or secondary students, as well as students with difficulty in mathematics learning.(2)raise the students’ interest in mathematics learning, deepen students’ understanding of the mathematical concepts, enhance students’ abilities of independent thinking and learning, and improve the effectiveness of the learning of mathematics.
