National identity is the citizens’strong national sense of belonging and sense of national pride generated from their acknowledgement and recognition of the national sovereignty, ethnic identity, traditional culture, moral values, political system and social institution of the nation they belong to. National identity is not only the ideological basis of national unity and social stability, but also the foundation of national development and prosperity. Guangxi is the autonomous region that embraces the most ethnic minorities, which is also the unique coastal autonomous region of China. By virtue of its significant strategic position, abundant mineral resources and complicated national conditions, Guangxi has become an important open door to the outside world. Along with the deepening of globalization, Western values continue to pour into our country, for minority college students’value has a significant impact. Western hostile forces and national separatist forces never ceased to undermine China’s social stability and national unity of plot, ideas are not mature enough and passionate students to become their differentiation, penetration of the main object. In addition, our country is in the period of economic and social transformation, the crucial period of reform, social injustice, problems like corruption and social injustice emerging in endlessly have greatly weakened the national identity of college students from the ethnic minorities. These students are the backbone and elites of the ethnic minorities, so that their national identity plays a vital role in maintaining national unity, the prolonged stability of the society and the economic development of ethnic regions. Therefore, studying this topic has very important theoretical and practical significance in enhancing the national identity of the students from the ethnic minorities in Guangxi.In order to better grasp the overall situation of the national identity among minority college students in Guangxi, according to social identity theory and social theory, national identity abstract concepts in content specific, from the cognitive, emotion, behavior of three dimensions design out< Guangxi minority students identity questionnaire> and select the Guangxi University for nationalities, Guangxi Youjiang Medical College, Bose Institute, the minority college students in Guangxi Normal University for nationalities, Hechi College as as the object of research survey their sense of national identity. Through the questionnaire analysis shows that national identity consciousness of the college students in Guangxi minority on the whole is relatively high, and most of the minority college students of national identity and ethnic identity in the state of benign development, respectively, from the minority college students in Wei Dazu, of the Chinese nation, traditional culture, national system, on the relationship between ethnic identity and national identity of the two processing five aspects were investigated. Specific performance for minority students in Guangxi to the motherland has a strong identity, the motherland in their hearts occupies important position, and to the country’s prosperity and progress of proud; minority college students of the Chinese nation has strong belonging sense, good national cognition; less minority college students of traditional culture have certain understanding, but the cognition of traditional culture lack initiative, master degree is not enough; the national introduction of the preferential treatment of minority policy and national public service function higher satisfaction. But a small part of the minority college students are narrow-minded nationalism view, to other ethnic customs exist to resist, unable to correctly understand the relationship between national identity and ethnic identity, in dealing with the relationship between the two biased; as well as part of the small minority of students content of the system of socialism with Chinese characteristics is not enough to know, these problems should cause our attention.There are many factors affecting the national identity of minority college students in Guangxi. Paid for both internal factors and external factors. From a domestic perspective, interest in social transition period the multiplicity and complexity of social conflicts, disturbances of minority college students’ recognition of China’s Socialist system; Teaching old lags, teaching a single boring, campus cultural construction and other factors affecting the effectiveness of the education of minority college students’national identity:family economic status, family harmony degree, parents cultural level and college students’ personal life experience and cognitive level also in a certain extent affects minority college students of national identity. Seen from abroad, with the deepening of economic globalization, the global consumer culture, weakening the political responsibility of the younger generation;the Western hostile forces of "human rights" to hold high the banner, ethnic issues, religious issues as a breakthrough frequently to China to launch an attack, and planning terrorist activities in the country, the minority students have cast doubt on the road of socialism China.On the analysis of present situation of minority college students’national identity, analysis of the influencing factors on the basis of, proposed raise Guangxi minority college students’national identity measures. Second, from the Government perspective, propaganda by the Government body, red draws upon resources, popularize knowledge of national history;Radio and TV media resource as a carrier, and create a good atmosphere of national identity; "Micro-propagation", vigorously promote the core values; Universal access to public education, strengthen the sense of national identity. In short, awareness of national identity is a comprehensive systems engineering in order to develop the community, school and family linkages full attention to these mutual penetration and long complementary in order to play the overall effect, so as to achieve the desired effect.
