With the development of economic globalization, the connection between countries has become more intimate. Though there are competitions and cooperation among those connections, most of the time, countries learn a lot from each other. The time when countries fight with force has gone, nowadays, it is the talents that help their countries survive in the world. China should learn from the advanced education forms in tradition basis, only in this way can we cultivate better talents.Nowadays, the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP) is highly recognized by its high quality level of education, its education goah curriculum and student assessment system are different from other schools, these three aspects also help the IBDP to become successful. The high school education in China and IBDP are obviously different in those three aspects, which make it possible to compare them of these two different education systems.This paper contains five chapters. The first chapter is a introduction of the origin of the paper, the purpose and significance of this research, the core concept definition of this paper, the research status, the research contents, the research importance and difficulties, the research ideas and methods.The education objectives of IBDP and Chinese high school education are described and compared in the second chapter.The third chapter introduces the curriculum of IBDP, the new curriculum of Chinese high school and its current situation. At last, on the basis of the introduction, I will analysis the characters of these two different curriculum forms.The forth chapter is about student assessment, it mainly compares the student assessment methods of IBDP and Chinese high school education. In order to further deepen the understanding IBDP student assessment, this chapter will make a brief overview about the assessment of the three core courses in IBDP. At last, I will analysis the student assessment characters of these two different education forms.The last chapter is the conclusion and advises. According to the previous analysis, this chapter will make a conclusion about the advantages of IBDP, then, I will sum up the main disadvantages of Chinese high school education. In the end of this chapter, based on the above analysis, I will give some recommendations for high school education in China.
