Composition teaching is an important part of Chinese teaching in middle school.Students’writing ability reflects their Chinese attainment. The Compulsory Education Curriculum Standards of Chinese puts forward clearly that, " As for composition teaching, teachers should help students build their observation ability, thinking ability, expressing ability and evaluation ability, lead students to care about reality, encourage them to write imaginary things. " "New Curriculum Standards" has made the requests about composition teaching clearly. However, composition teaching now fails to meet people’s expectation, and it has been a difficult part in Chinese teaching.Throughout composition teaching in China, there are some common questions.The professionalization of teachers is developing slowly, composition training system is fragmentary, teaching methods are less creative, training patterns and topics are obsolete, evaluation standards are simplex. Therefore, students are less interested in writing and have no words to write while writing. So, composition teaching has difficulty developing. According to the above, I am writing to analyze the problems of middle school composition teaching in Wangqing and reasons for these problems, seek effective teaching strategies.There are five chapters to expound. The first chapter Introduction To introduce the purpose and significance of research briefly, to understand composition teaching situation at home and abroad better, to introduce the content and methods of this topic’s research and define the main concepts. The second chapter To discuss the significance of middle school students’writing ability and the theoretical requirements of the new curriculum standard, to grasp the essence of composition teaching and interpret Chinese new curriculum standards. The third chapter Do a survey about middle school composition teaching in Wangqing from two aspects-teachers and students. What’s more,to expound both the achievements and problems in composition teaching. The fourth chapter According to the survey,the reasons for the problems that exist in middle school composition teaching of Wangqing. Then, induce and summarize the problems. It is also the basis and origins of seeking teaching strategies that follow. The fifth chapter To discuss the composition teaching strategies from three aspects--school, teaching and students. Through the above actions, to improve Chinese composition teaching quality in Wangqing, to improve students’ attainments and interests in Chinese.By taking questionnaire methods, interviewing methods and other methods, I expounded problems in Chinese composition teaching in Wangqing clearly, analyzed problems and reasons in composition, sought realistic teaching methods, developed students’ interests in writing,improved students’ attainments and tried many effective teaching methods. It helps with seeking new composition teaching methods further. It also enlightens plenty of teachers while teaching.
