From beginning to end extracurricular reading is an important supplement to the Chinese language teaching. School and teachers’attention to the Chinese extracurricular reading has a direct impact on the results of the students’ Chinese extracurricular reading. It is a critical period when young people develop good habits in middle school.Therefore, it is very important for the students to strengthen the guidance and guidance of extra-curricular reading at this time. Good Chinese extracurricular reading habits not only affect students’interest in extracurricular reading, but also have the impact of the future of the students’ learning career and life experience. Sufficient amount of reading makes a wealth of knowledge and a broad range of knowledge makes students to see the broad. As a student, mastering the appropriate reading methods can improve their reading efficiency.In recent years, the importance of Chinese Reading Teaching in the Ninth Middle School of Yanji city has become more and more important. It breaks the previous examination oriented education model, tries more effective reading teaching constantly, and develops students’ reading ability. It makes great achievements. This paper makes an investigation of the current situation of teacher and students’extracurricular reading in the 7,8 and 9 grades according to the actual situation of the Ninth Middle School of Yanji City by interview and survey. This paper focuses on the analysis of both the students and teachers, as well as the problems of the two cross, and puts forward some corresponding suggestions to improve the effectiveness of Chinese Reading Teaching in the Ninth Middle School of Yanji city.This paper is divided into five chapters, the main contents are as follows:The first chapter is the introduction, introduces the research purpose and significance, research status, research scope and methods.The second chapter is the current situation of Chinese extracurricular reading in the Ninth Middle School of Yanji city. A questionnaire was given to three grades of teachers and students. Interviews with some students and teachers, survey the school situation of extracurricular reading, and collation and analysis.The third chapter shows the achievements of the Ninth Middle School of Yanji city, and puts forward the problems and analyzes the reasons. Results mainly displays in good habits, high interest, category rich, ability is strong. Some weak points still exist, Library utilization rate is insufficient, less activities, reading recommended scarcity, reading assessment is too little, lack of time and neglect to extract and record reading.The fourth chapter puts forward the corresponding improvement suggestions to the problems of the Ninth Middle School of Yanji city on Chinese extracurricular reading.The last chapter is the conclusion, which summarizes the results of the survey, as well as the suggestions to the problem.This paper uses survey method and interview method to clearly reflect the effectiveness and problems of Chinese extracurricular reading in the Ninth Middle School of Yanji City. It is useful for teachers to understand better the problem of extracurricular reading to students of the Ninth Middle School of Yanji City. It also has certain significance for the improvement and progress of reading teaching in the future.
