Higher vocational education is an important part of higher education, with the construction of modern vocational education system proposed objectives, vocational colleges how to improve quality of personnel training, cultivate students with high professional competence of vocational education must become an issue of concern.From Teachinsg start with, first, Occupational Abilities related concepts and influence are discussed; then, research-based, literature research summarizes the current situation and problems of professional competence in higher vocational colleges; At the same time, analyze the reasons behind the problems; Finally, vocational ability development status of the problem, integrated previous research results and learn from foreign advanced vocational ability development experience, research results way of Higher Vocational Education Students’ vocational ability development.Article that the current professional competence vocational graduates vary greatly, which performed better professional competence, but professional development ability, comprehensive quality methods such as social skills and ability to behave in general. The study found that higher vocational education teaching a series of problems are not conducive to the cultivation of professional competence of vocational students, these problems include higher vocational education in the process of teaching students professional competence is more attention, and the method of student ability and social ability is more contempt; traditional teaching methods and evaluation is not suitable for modern vocational education; lack of student ability outlook and moral education, contempt students career planning capacity; the lack of double-qualified teachers, part-time teachers to introduce inadequate; some schools to keep up with practice and training conditions, lack of opportunities for students to practice; professional setting unreasonable. The main reason for these problems is the school’s Higher Colleges of professional competence of understanding there is a deviation; Higher Colleges of teaching methods and teaching evaluation reform lack of enthusiasm; deficiencies, ethics education and career planning education course content and curriculum system the presence of short plate; vocational colleges lack of reasonable teachers; practice teaching environment construction problems; educational philosophy Higher Colleges of errors, some schools offer professional blind.By reason of problems Teaching Vocational Ability in Higher Vocational Education analysis, combined with previous research results and experience of foreign cultures, and then come to study ways to strengthen the Higher Vocational College Students’ Professional Abilities:First, higher vocational colleges should establishing a new Concept of professional competence. Second, promoting the teaching reform, the use of new teaching methods and evaluation tools. Third, the reasonable set of courses, curriculum system update, while strengthening professional ethics education and career planning. Fourth, strengthening the teaching staff. Fifth, improve the practice teaching environment. Sixth, a clear role, reform school system.
