After the reform and opening up, China has entered a non-agricultural period. The microeconomic foundation of rural governance and the governance structure are transforming fundamentally because of the market penetration and the rapid development of industry and commerce. How the changes of the rural society influenced and shaped the local public production logic? What kind of difficulties and challenges are the current rural public production facing? Which way can we choose to implement local public reproduction? In order to answer these questions, I have visited a lot of villages in Zhejiang, especially the X village. Then I do academic thinking and theoretical interpretation about the production of local public. At first, I analyze the basic construction of China’s rural public. Then I investigate and analyze the local public production in the period of traditional farming and collectivization. I also analyze the development process of China’s non-agricultural and discuss the production logic of rural public under the new background. I try to find some new quality of production elements, methods, contents.Through research, I found that the current rural public production has some difficulties. For example, the production power is unbalanced; The production contents are biased; The production coordination is insufficient; The production space is fragmented; The functions of rural public are unbalanced.Through the analysis of the predicament and the practice experience of X village in Zhejiang, I put forward some suggestions. I think we can promote public participation by carrying out governance reform; We can strengthen the public bond by developing collective economy; We can strengthen the public responsibility by activating public service activities; We can inherit the public memory by promoting the local culture. Thus we hope the local public can achieve the reproduction and promote the development of the rural society.
