Scholars mainly composed of nobles and intellectuals, and they exist as the original form of intellectuals. They goes through different historical periods in ancient China. They date back to western Zhou Dynasty era, and then gradually rise and become active in the warring states period. The main missions of them are act as kings assistants as well as pleading for the normal people. In the development and evolution of Scholar, they gradually formed a system of values, namely, attaching importance to their own moral cultivation; being loyal to their emperor; concerning the sufferings of the folk; attaching great importance to the friendship between friends.Colorful and rich Scholar images are presented in high school Chinese book, based on high school Chinese both compulsory and optional courses.This article classifies and characterizes the Scholar images on the book and divides them into great debater, good counselors, outspoken heroes and the fallen scholars. On the basis of classification and comparison, some changing laws are drawn.The ultimate goal of classification and comparison is to appreciate and evaluate the images of scholars, which are the focus of high school Chinese teaching. From the language, the manners, the environment and the event four aspects,this paper puts forward the strategies of the appreciation and gives example analysis. The final aim lies in the correct evaluation of the images. The paper puts forward four kinds of evaluation methods, namely, being familiar with the scholars and events;comparing; focusing on the key points. By these means, scientific understanding of the personality characteristics and historical position of the scholars are gotten.
