Chinese textbook is the important carrier of Chinese teaching and important basis.The Chinese textbook characterization, regionalization has become an obvious trend. Based on the concept of teaching material, structure, content and other aspects, compared PEP edition and Shandong edition to dredge the commonness and characteristics between the two versions.The first chapter firstly combed the new curriculum reform Chinese textbook in different period of the development course and the writing features, and then under the background of new curriculum reform, read "the high school language curriculum standard (experiment)" in the Chinese textbooks. Finally it respectively introduces the PEP edition and Shandong edition writing concept and writing characteristics, and compared the commonness and differences of two versions in this respect.The second chapter to the fourth chapter mainly compares two version of the structure of the teaching material system. The second chapter mainly give the common characteristics and the differences between the text selection system of the two editions of Chinese textbooks from the aspects of quantity and unit setting, and type selection. The third chapter mainly studies the reading system of the two editions of Chinese textbooks, and compares the three aspects of the reading materials, the annotation type reading materials and the chart reading materials. The fourth chapter mainly studies the practice system of the two editions of Chinese textbooks, and compares the commonness and individuality of the Chinese teaching materials in the practice system from the aspects of the arrangement, quantity and type.At the end of the paper it summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the two edition high school Chinese compulsory textbook, and make recommendations that each area should select textbooks which suit their local conditions. It also suggests that the theory of Zone of Proximal Development should be used when teachers guide their students and the textbooks should be used flexibly.
