In view of the phenomenon, the countryside junior middle school English poor students, how to educate this part of the students is the obligation and responsibility of each front line English teacher.This article obtains from my own teaching practice, the countryside junior middle school English to carry on the investigation and analysis the causes of English poor students and take appropriate measures to explore and practice.The countryside junior middle school occupies a great proportion in Liuhe District, Nanjing City. In order to practice the English curriculum standard "(2011 edition) requirements,we have to change the countryside junior middle school teachers’ teaching methods and the learning methods of the countryside junior middle school students. Improve the countryside junior middle school teachers’ qualities, improve the efficiency of the class, enhance the countryside junior middle school students’ ability of independent learning, use the knowledge, so as to improve the ability of learning English.This research is based on the existing transform poor students, in China and abroad related researches, using literature analysis, questionnaire investigation, interview investigation, experimental research method, etc.According to the questionnaire data of students and teachers, and through the targeted interviews of the English poor students with individual and collective respectively, find out the internal causes and external causes, the root cause of the poor students of English in our school as well as the poor student overall distribution, so as to establish a foundation of education strategy with the English poor students in our school.The author thinks that the education poor student of English from the following several aspects:First, to "teacher training" project as the platform, through the establishment of harmonious relationship between teachers and students and strengthen the teaching design, improve teachers’ quality;Second, with "new" as an opportunity to improve the teaching evaluation mechanism, stimulate students’ interests in learning;Third, target lead inspire poor student learning motivation;Fourth, based on the differences between students, promote stratification teaching;Fifth, strengthen the guidance, conduct appraisal activities, gradually cultivate students’ autonomous learning ability;Sixth, "documentary type" home visit as gripper, improve the efficiency of the parent-school cooperative.Through the educational designs of poor student with English teaching mode and teaching strategies, use of classroom teaching, experiment researches in the whole school.The experimental results show that with the teacher’s guide training, experimental classes of English poor students in learning attitude on the emotional and academic achievements are stronger than that in comparative classes, the students in the later final examinations are significantly higher than that in comparative classes, and made a significant difference.Learning theoretically and in practice to carry out the researches through the summary analysis, come to the conclusion that to be prepared for the follow-up study.By studying I firmly believe that as long as the teachers improve their teaching, combining students’ own efforts, poor students of English will be improved.
