With the gradual popularization and development of the internet, especially the maturity of Web2.0 technology, many social networks already gradually rise, they have become an important way of information dissemination and knowledge dissemination. So it is an urgent problem to be solved that the knowledge dissemination characteristic of social network, the factors influencing knowledge dissemination and the effect of related factors on the dissemination effect. To solve this problem, we take the knowledge of program design courses as the study subject, explore the influence of network structure, learners’ characteristics and knowledge type on the propagation speed and range of knowledge, come to conclusion, provide theoretical foundation and practical support for the spread of this type of knowledge.First of all, the characteristics of course knowledge and knowledge dissemination subject are analyzed. For the characteristics of knowledge, it is mainly to classify the knowledge of the program design courses, which is convenient to carry out the extraction of the characteristic factors of knowledge. For the characteristics of knowledge dissemination subject, analyze the key factors that affect the teaching ability of disseminator and learning ability of receiver. Then the article elaborates advantages and disadvantages of Cowan Models and SIR model, through study, using the classical SIR virus model as the underlying framework, introducing the knowledge characteristic factor--- propagation probability λ, characteristic factor of disseminator ---teaching ability T, receiver characteristic factor---learning ability, the degree of trust W between knowledge dissemination subject as well as relevant influencing factors to establish the knowledge dissemination model which can meet the conditions. Finally, building the network topology by the construction method of WS small-world network, based on knowledge dissemination model of program design courses, using the method of computer simulation, with the aid of MATLAB experimental platform, explore the influence of network structure p, learners’ characteristics T, L, W and knowledge propagation probability λ on the process of knowledge dissemination. Draw a conclusion: when the value of rewiring probability p is between 0.01 and 0.1, that is the network structure is small-world, it is more conducive to spread knowledge. Improve the disseminators’ ability to teach, receivers’ability to learn and the degree of trust W between them can promote the efficient and large-scale dissemination of knowledge. In the course of propagation, the greater the probability of propagation, the more obvious the effect of propagation, so we can transform knowledge of the small probability of propagation into knowledge of the high probability of propagation.Taking knowledge of program design courses for research object, explore its propagation phenomenon on social networks, this not only provides a new idea for dissemination of this kind of knowledge, but also provides a new method for studying dissemination of other types of knowledge.
