| With the development of reforming and opening, private higher vocational education in China are booming, which has taken up50percentages. As one section of promising higher education in China, private higher vocational education is the necessary complement of Chinese taditional public higher educations. However, with the decrease of popularity of attending higher education entrance examination, as well as the expand of admission numbers in ordinary universities, the shortage of sustainable funding supporting in private higher vocational colleges put them under tremendous pressures. In the critical moment the development, Connotation construction cannot be delayed. As a key element of the connotation construction, education level of development and the quality of personnel training largely depend on the quality of teachers. As a result, the steady, high quality and vital teachers are the essential factor of improving education quality of private higher vocational colleges. Unfortunately,a majority of teachers in private higher vocational colleges have not formed correct concepts of teachers’performance assessments, which lead to many problems, such as high mobility, poor stability, lack of coherence and passive working attitudes. In view of this, how to develop a set of scientific, reasonable and normative teachers’ performance assessments system, how to active teachers’ protentions, both of these become a barriers which the adminitrators in private higher vocational colleges have to confornt.Take wanxiang polytechnic college as an case,this paper concentrates on teachers’performance assessments in private higher vocational colleges. After reviewing a great deal of literatures and referencing the research achievements of teachers’performance assessments in universities at home and abroad, we analyze the current situations of teachers’performance assessments in private higher vocational colleges in China, especially in wanxiang polytechnic college and concluded the problems of teachers’performance assessments in private higher vocational colleges in China, which inluding shortage of system, validility, no quantility assessment and lacking of humanization; inpiration should be improved and the using of assess results is not reasonable. By comparison and summary, we propose the specific principles of designing teachers’performance assessments in private higher vocational colleges: combination of quantitative and qualitative methods; feedback timely, unified standards; implementation of various types, bond the evaluation and inspiration; jointing the Maneuverability and practicability. Finally, we provide some suggestions to perfect teachers’performance assessments in private higher vocational colleges: optomizing performance assessments indicators; constructing effective measures to guarante the performance assessments implement; increasing the funding to support improving the quality of teachers; building up effective feedback system and paying more attention to the application of performance assessment reselts. |
