National Chinese Language Curriculum Standard for Primary and Middle Schools (Compulsory Education) puts "Oral Communication" in a very important position. However, under the pressure of examination, in Chinese language course, many teachers put emphasis on the ability of reading and writing, rather than the ability of listening and speaking, making the oral language teaching only exist in name. Oral communication has relation to students’ comprehensive quality, effects their growth and plays an important role in communication in daily life. And Chinese language course definitely assumes the function of training students’ oral communication ability. How to change the phenomenon that oral language teaching has been long neglected and how to improve the course effect have become the large problem lots of researchers focus on.Through years of consulting of books related to oral communication teaching, this thesis focused on the basic condition of oral communication teaching theory and time, integrated literature data and laid the theory foundation for the paper. Besides, actual relevant data was got through deep into Chinese language teaching class in junior high schools by the ways of questionnaire survey and interview during education internship period, and feasible suggestion was provided, combined with the theory of oral communication teaching and the present situation of Yanji Experimental Middle School.This paper has four parts:Part one is introduction, including proposal of the subject, its purpose and meaning, current research situation, research range and methods and relevant concept. Part two introduces the target and contents of oral communication teaching in Yanji Korean Middle School, which is the theory support of this thesis. Part three investigates teachers’ teaching condition, students’ practice situations and the effect on students in this school by questionnaires, analyzes the occurring problems and the causes of Chinese oral language teaching in Yanji ShiYan Middle School, and gives analysis and explanation for the relevant form and graph. Corresponding suggestions are put forward in Part four, aiming to avoid the possible shortage in practicing process, improve the Chinese spoken language teaching quality in this school and promote comprehensive development of students.Through investigation, we knew that Chinese spoken language teaching in Yanji Shiyan Middle School achieved some results, and students’oral competence had considerable improvement. However, problems also occurred, like teaching method falling behind and students lacking of knowledge reserves. In view of the occurring problems, this paper provided suggestions from three aspects of school, teachers and students to solve the current obstruction of spoken language teaching in Yanji Shiyan Middle School, promoting development of oral language teaching and also help improve the spoken language teaching in Korean middle schools.
