"Plateau period" is a turning point in the career of teachers, from the teachers can successfully break the "plateau period" shackles, will determine the height of the career of teachers. "Plateau period" teachers are the majority of teachers in basic education, and the quality of teachers’ professional development in the plateau period determines the quality of basic education teachers in our country.This thesis consists of six parts.The first part is the introduction of this paper. The purpose and significance of this paper, research status and the definition of "teacher professional development", "teacher’s two growth theory", "the" plateau period "teachers" concept. The second part is the theoretical research on the professional development of Chinese teachers in the "plateau period" of the middle school. To Chinese teachers standard as the foundation, the British standard for teachers as a supplement, combined with domestic scholars of excellent teachers of theoretical research, the professional philosophy, professional knowledge, professional ability three aspects and the refinement of goals as "plateau period" teacher growth indicators. The third part and the fourth part is the practice and research of the current situation of the Chinese teachers’ professional development in the "plateau period" of the junior high school. The fifth part is the study of the professional growth of the excellent Chinese teachers. The sixth part is the strategy research on the current situation of the Chinese teachers’ professional development in the "plateau period" of the junior high school. The practical methods are put forward in the "plateau period" Chinese teachers’ professional development from the teachers’ self development strategies, the growth strategies of school guidance and the growth strategies of macro government support.
