Junior science is a course for the purpose of cultivating students’ scientific literacy. The objectives of course in the Junior Science Curriculum, where the objectives of scientific knowledge and skills required students to have initial skills of observing, experimenting, collecting and processing information, scientific expressing and communicating. Junior science adds the content of developing students’ thinking ability to curriculum, and focus on the development of students’ scientific inquiry ability. According to seven elements of scientific inquiry, scientific inquiry ability can be divided into seven sub-capacities. Among them, the ability of analysis and demonstration has an important influence on solving practical problems. Cultivating the ability of analysis and demonstration can not only deepen students’ understanding of the curriculum, but also conduct students’ thinking development and improve their scientific literacy. Therefore, studying on teaching strategies of cultivating junior’s ability of analysis and demonstration, not only has an important theoretical significance, but also has a practical significance in overall development of students. This article is a case study of physics experiment teaching of junior science, studying on teaching strategies of cultivating junior’s ability of analysis and demonstration. The main research work includes three aspects. Firstly, by reading a lot of literature to learn about teaching strategies related to junior physics experiment teaching, and making research projects. Secondly, through classroom observation, surveying on the middle school students and science teachers and interviewing with teachers, to acquire the status of students’ ability of analysis and demonstration, so that finding insufficient of junior physics experiment teaching at present. Finally, this article proposes several teaching strategies to help juniors cultivate their ability of analysis and demonstration, depending on some unsatisfactory factors which exist in current situation. And at the same time, it shows an instructional design to explain the teaching strategies.By actual survey, the study finds that teachers and students generally agreed that junior’s ability of analysis and demonstration is weak, and most of them can not use knowledge they have learned to solve practical problems well. According to the survey, there are three main reasons for this phenomenon. First, some teaching methods do not conducive to develop junior’s ability of analysis and demonstration. Such as the students’ subjectivity is not obvious, lacking of specific guidance on experimental analysis and demonstration after the experiment, lacking of discussions and discuss on experiment procedure, lacking of after-school experiments. Second, students lack of active and in-depth thinking. Third, some studying habits have a bad effect, such as rehearsal. To this end, this paper proposes three teaching strategies. First, teaching strategies of effective preview. Second, teaching strategies of experimental inquiry by effective guide. Third, teaching strategies of designing after-school experiment. Finally, choosing two instructional design to explain the teaching strategies that reference to the proposed teaching strategies. Through the actual investigation and analysis, this study proposes teaching strategies of cultivating junior’s ability of analysis and demonstration, for the purpose of cultivating junior’s ability of analysis and demonstration, and providing reference for teachers in teaching.
