At present, English teaching in primary schools should attach great value to connecting English teaching with our real life. Only based on this did students can make simple daily communication with others. For the students in primary schools, whereas, the most effective way of learning English is to make English adapt to our real life, that is, integrating English teaching into our daily life. Moreover, vividly using English to express the instances in our daily life will be beneficial for improving the ability of students both on learning related English knowledge and learning English language itself. In the academic circus, there has existed a certain foundation on researching English teaching adaptation, but it hasn’t been formed a complete system yet.This thesis, based on present English teaching reality in primary schools, combination of documentary method, interviewing method, observational method and action-research method, will have a further research on theory sources, problems and factors analysis, status survey and strategy improvement that appear in English teaching adaptation. Based on theories like pedagogy, linguistics, psychology, and English Curricular Standards in the Phase of Compulsory Education, English teaching adaptation should run through the whole English teaching and learning. Teachers should actively combine it with students’ daily life, choose corresponding contents of adaptation, create teaching context of adaptation, and try to apply the idea of adaptation into practical English teaching and learning. Meanwhile, for teachers, who should also have a more comprehensive understanding on English teaching adaptation and go out of related misunderstandings, then strengthen and deepen relevant theoretical research on English teaching adaptation, thus promoting the improvement and sublimation of English teaching in primary schools.
