Objective:The purpose of this study was to examine whether forefoot wedge affects performance of badminton footwear and athletes lower limb movement form, providing scienticfic priciples for the special structure design of badminton footware.Method:The high of forefoot wedge structure in badminton footwear is Omm (L0),4mm (L4) and 8mm (L8). And 15 male badminton professional athletes who professional training for more than 2 years were recruited for this study. Kinematic and kinetic data were collectedat by using high speed motion capture system (ViconT20&T40,200Hz) and force platform (AMTIOR6-GT, IOOOHz) during lift forward lunge and Smash. Using the Visual3D to process the raw data, to obtain the joint angles and torques of lower limbs are used in the research. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS for Windows (version 18.0). A P-value less than 0.05 (MANOVA of repeated measuring) was considered statistically significant.Results:In lift forward lunge, wearing L0 badminton shoes metatarsophalangeal joint dorsiflexion angle was significantly larger than the L8 type badminton shoes (p = 0.045), and wearing L0 badminton shoes metatarsophalangeal plantar flexion angular velocity was significantly greater than wearing L4 badminton shoes (p 0.039); wearing L8 badminton shoes knee power peak and ankle plantar flexion power peak were significantly higher than L0 badminton shoes (p<0.05).In the smash kicking stage, Wearing L0 badminton shoes knee extensor angular velocity was significantly less than L4 and L8 badminton shoes (p<0.05), And wear L8 badminton shoes metatarsophalangeal joint maximum plantar flexion angular velocity was significantly greater than L0 badminton shoes (p= 0.024);Wearing L8 and L4 badminton shoes in the foot lateral direction, vertical direction velocity and resultant velocity off the ground time were significantly higher than L0 type (p<0.05), and No impact on the iliac crest velocity, But the vertical velocity of the iliac crest is L8>L4>L0, and it is found that there is a significant difference between the L8 and the L0 (p<0.05); Wearing L4 and L8 badminton shoes maximal knee extension torque was significantly higher than L0 badminton shoes (p= 0.02), And wearing L8 badminton shoes ankle maximum plantar flexion torque is significantly greater than the wearing LO and L4 badminton shoes (p= 0.030), And athlete wearing L8 shoes ankle maximum plantar flexion power significantly greater than wearing LO shoes (p = 0.031).Conclusion:1)Badminton shoes forefoot wedge structure design will affect the athletes metatarsophalangeal joint dorsal flexion angle, So it can be as metatarsophalangeal joint plantar flexor special training shoes R & D and production. 2) badminton shoes forefoot wedge structure will have effect on lower limb joint torque and power during smash, no impact on the lift forward lunge movements.3) badminton shoes forefoot wedge structure has little effect on the forward lunge, but may increase the takeoff performance, and for a long time wearing may will lead to injury of plantar fasciitis.
