Reform and development has been carried on for 30 years since the first private university was built in 1980 s. No matter in terms with quantity, quality and scale, private universities have reached a new stage. Those have played an important role on meeting the need on higher education and on training technical talents. Teachers from private engineering universities, especially young ones, are a major part of the teaching resource. In order to improve the teaching quality and the whole education level, the power of young teachers could not be ignored. Moreover, it is an effective incentive system that can increase the young teachers’ motivation and creativity and stimulate their potential. Therefore, the study on the incentive mechanism is of importance theoretically and practically.This essay begins with the whole circumstance and makes analysis in details. Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory can be used on young teachers in C College through documentary analysis and questionnaire survey. According to those elements such as the psychological demand, the dialectical view and external and internal factors, the incentive mechanism was proposed.To design the incentive mechanism, four points should be focused on: firstly, building competitive salary system: to improve the current salary system, the professional titles and major should be considered into the wage structure; secondly, maturing the pension plan: to relieve the worry about the aged people, teachers with different titles should not pay for the social insurance in the same way; the supplementary endowment insurance should be purchased for employees; the characteristic retirement policy should be implemented and the retired employees get paid monthly. In addition, enhancing the logistics support system: the welfare houses for young teachers in schools should be constructed in order to solve their housing problems; the kindergartens should be set up for working couples to pay free fees for their children and for a single worker with 50% free of charges; the regular medical examination system should be carried out, suggesting the fees be shared by both, school and employees or totally paid by school. Lastly, making the relaxed culture environment: the private universities without the assessment right for the medium professional technical titles should apply for the qualification to provide the convenience for their own teachers; those universities should encourage their teachers to participate in the promotion and project research and to take part-time jobs in entities after work in schools fully gets done, with the purpose of learning the latest industrial theory and knowledge and increasing the integration into the industry. |
