The Study Of The Relationship Between Natural Population Growth Rate And Household Consumption Rate In China

The economy of our country is developing rapidly, but there are also some structural problems, such as the low household consumption rate. China’s economy is in a new stage now. The growing speed is lower than the past. It will take a long time to improve the structure of economy and change investment into innovation. It’s important for the innovation of the government to stimulate domestic demand and increase the household consumption rate. So there is an important theoretical and practical significance to analyze the relationship between population and consumption.By using knowledge of different subjects, this paper is to find the relationship between the natural population growth rate and the household consumption rate of China and find the reason why the household consumption rate of China is so low. There are three part in this paper. The first part is the theoretical basis. In this part, the theory and the research about consumption and population are introduced. The second part is the empirical analysis. In this part, the change of the household consumption rate of China is introduced and the problem of the household consumption rate is analyzed. Then the relationship in different time scale between natural population growth rate and household consumption rate is found by using the wavelet analysis. The third part is the conclusion and discussion. The conclusions of this paper are summarized and the policy recommendations on how to improve the household consumption rate of China are presented.The main findings of this paper can be summarized as:1. The first main period of the natural population growth rate and the household consumption rate of China are both in time scale 27. And their fluctuation trend is almost the same.2. There is a co-integration relationship between the natural population growth rate and the household consumption rate of China.3. In the future, the change of natural population growth rate and the household consumption rate will tend to be stable.The research characteristic of this paper is that, from the point of view of the natural population growth rate, the relationship between population and the household consumption rate of China is found and the research method is broadened by using the wavelet analysis. But this paper put emphasis on the relationship between the natural population growth rate and the household consumption rate of China so other factors are not discussed. If it’s necessary to do further research on the household consumption, then other factors should be discussed.
