In recent years, the number of female teachers in Shanghai vocational and technical college is growing fast. Female teacher becomes an important part in vocational and technical college. In this paper, we take Shanghai CSGL College as a research object, and put forward some suggestions after deep investigation and analysis of female teachers’ professional development and to present main influence factors of their professional development.The paper is divided into 5 parts:The first chapter describes the research background, research significance through the review of the domestic and foreign existing literature. It also tells the research objective, content, methods, and define the core concept of this study;The second chapter mainly uses the literature research method, and summarizes the theory of female teachers’ professional development in vocational and technical colleges. It also analyzes the meaning and the elements of female teachers’ professional development in the general sense. Then arrange the stage, confusion and obstacles of the female teachers’ professional development. It provides theoretical basis for this research.The third chapter mainly uses the questionnaire research method, assisted with the interview research method, taking the Shanghai CSGL College as the research case to present the structure of the female teachers’ team in this college. It also analyzes the present situation of female teachers’ professional development in this college;The fourth chapter also takes the Shanghai CSGL College as an example, using the interview method, combined with the questionnaire results. And it analyzes the main factors that affects the female teachers’ professional development in vocational and technical colleges from three dimensions, which is individual factor, family factor and organizational environment factor.The fifth chapter puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to promote the female teachers’ professional development through the analysis and summary of the previous research results. In the end. we discuss the shortcomings of this study and the prospect of this study.The study has found that most of the female teachers have strong professional beliefs, strong professional knowledge and strong teaching ability. But they are still lack of new knowledge, practical ability and scientific research ability. The most important factors that influence female teachers’ professional development are (ordering according to the impact from big to small):family factors, organizational environment factors, individual factors. Among them, family affairs (caring for children)is the primary factor that affects the female teachers’professional development in vocational and technical colleges.The originality of this paper is mainly reflected on:1. The study uses empirical research method, to present situation of female teachers’ professional development in Shanghai vocational and technical Colleges, especially on the confusions and obstacles of female teachers.2. We put forward multilateral countermeasures to promote the female teachers’ professional development in vocational and technical colleges on the basis of the investigation, hoping to provide reference and help to other colleges and universities on teachers’management. |
