With the rapid development of our country’s economy, the scale of the vocational collegeswhich cultivate technical talents has grown. Vocational college teachers’ professionaldevelopment problem has been gradually incorporated into the field of vocational educationreform. The traditional teaching research is closed and single, which to a certain extent affectedthe enthusiasm and initiative of teachers to participate in. Network era calls for a more efficientway of teaching and research to promote the development of vocational college teachers’professional. However, at present the research and construction of teacher’s professionaldevelopment platform are mainly concentrated in the field of primary and secondary schools, inthe field of vocational education is relatively less and superficial. The existing vocationalcolleges teachers’ professional development platform is given priority to release information andrender content and can’t meet the needs of vocational college teachers’ professional development.Based on the investigation and analysis of the above research status, this thesis mainlystudies the design and development of vocational college teachers’ professional developmentplatform. This paper adopted many research methods, such as literature research, survey methodand software development, etc. This paper first studied the domestic and foreign present situationof vocational college teachers’ professional development platform, analyzes its existing problems,and then to teacher professional development analyzes theoretical basis of the construction of theplatform. This paper demonstrates in detail the necessity and feasibility, determines the designgoals and principles, and then design and development the platform, test and improve it.The main research results of this paper is as follows: investigated the present situation ofvocational college teachers’ professional development at home and abroad, and pointed out theexisting problems and deficiencies; defined the "vocational colleges","teachers’ professionaldevelopment","teachers’ professional development platform" and so on the main concepts,combed the theoretical basis of this study; through interviews, online research methods,researched and analysised the needs of teachers, the general structure and columns of the platform are determined, the function of each module in detail is designed; useing the relateddevelopment tools for the development and implementation of the platform, completed the newsbulletin, education, knowledge, resource center, teacher’s studio, online BBS, fine courses andeducation for the development of video and other seven modules; tested the browsercompatibility degree, the operating system compatibility, website load, etc., to improve theproblems found, in order to ensure the normal operation of the platform.This paper has completed the development of teachers’ professional development platform,enriched the theoretical research of vocational college teachers’ professional development,provided practical experience for reference to other vocational colleges. The characteristics ofthe platform is the development of education knowledge, resource center, teacher’s studio and theBBS module. According to the characteristics of vocational college teachers, to achieve theintended purpose, the author gives them a knowledge learning, resource sharing, knowledgemanagement and online communication platform. At the same time, the author proposed somemeasures to continue to improve the development of the platform in the research prospect, tofurther strengthen the function of platform.
