Over the past 40 years, our country carry out family planning policy, continue to implement the family planning policy of environment, great changes have taken place in the family structure in China, family size miniaturization. The one-child family has become the development trend. With the continuous development of society and people’s conception change, population mobility increased, the one-child due to various reasons such as school, work, marriage and parents separated. The appearance of the series of reality, the only-child parents alone at home, in stage phenomenon of empty nest elderly would have now reached middle age, ahead of the one-child family parents in advance to deal with the problem of empty nest, appear empty nest constantly ahead of reality, they present a trend of younger age in age, this is now the status quo of "empty nest family" in middle age.Through the literature research analysis found that the one-child family empty-nest parents they in the face of the empty nest inadaptability factors from various aspects. Empty nest for the middle-aged empty-nest parents also can appear different effects, and parents can also make a different reaction. From the perspective of Chinese traditional culture, Chinese traditional thoughts make some middle-aged empty nest family parents kept "men, tying the pattern of traditional life of husband and wife. Some full-time mother with social contact closely, in addition, in the middle stage of mother is also facing the effects of menopause, which greatly reduces the originally of interpersonal communication, exacerbating the psychological gap. By this time and adapt to the situation of empty nest, only children empty nest family parents need to face and deal with a lot of problems. Such as:the problem of communication with the other children, husband and wife two people live alone and get along with the change of the pattern, and the condition of psychological adaptation and so on.The author study the adaptability of the one-child family empty nest, on the one hand is to understand the present status of the middle-aged empty nest family life, the couple get along with mode change, to make a objective analysis and research on this problem, to explore middle-aged empty-nest parents in empty nest to adapt to the situation and pay attention to this kind of people’s psychological development. On the other hand is the hope can give more one-child family with the right guidance, let is facing and will face the empty nest the one-child parents treat the problem correctly, to live in a better state of mind and body quality, seriously couple alone living space. At the same time also want to remind the one-child during this period in a timely manner to communicate with their parents and communication, establish a good relationship.
